Stars at night are big and bright :)
There were alot more star than I thought. I ended up with extra. They glow very well when you turn the light off. Great product for all ages. Kids will love it and adults will like it too, especilly if you live in a bright city and don't get to see the stars often.

TOO many stars!!!
I bought these because there were supposed to be lots of stars, and there are! I am kidding when I say there are too many stars because my neck was killing me after we finished putting them all up. You do have to buy extra sticky tack though because the amount they provide is not enough for all of them, but it is a cute idea and my son loves it. Makes bedtime a lot easier.

There isn't one bad thing I can say about this product!
They go up easily, even on that old fashioned pop-corn ceiling, and they stay up. they glow for a long time even after only having the light on for a short time. I have never written a review before but i was so happy with this product, and it's price, that i just had to share.

Snowy Owl Cuddlekins 12″ Review

The first point to make is that as soon as I procured this Owl, the Owl took over. The Owl took ownership of all of my property almost immediately. The Owl also soon started stockpiling other people’s property. But this was only the beginning. If you think this Owl is cute, and that it looks like the Harry Potter owl, you have NO IDEA what you’re getting yourself into. This is NOTHING like the Harry Potter owl. Such blasphemy angers the Owl very much.

In case any children are reading (children that the Owl has not yet eaten, of which there can’t be many left at this point), I will keep this review PG rated, even though that will make it VERY difficult to truly capture how HARD CORE this Owl is.

The Owl somehow bought out the lot next door to my house, and destroyed the structure that had been standing there. The Owl then contracted with some criminals to construct some sort of underground bunker used mainly for storage of gold, assault weaponry, and nuclear weapons. The Owl recently took delivery of half of North Korea’s arsenal, along with most of Iran’s yellow cake uranium. There WERE WMDs in Iraq, Dick Cheney was correct. The Owl is now in possession of them.

I have to say, though the Owl does tend to run things as a dictatorship, I for one welcome our new Owl overlord. Another plus is that the Owl patrols the house at night and when I’m not home, protecting the area. The Owl will kill trespassers on sight, so do NOT screw around. The Owl accomplishes this without ever making a mess, since instead of leaving the bodies strewn about the countryside, he prefers to stack the bodies in a special holding area in his aforementioned underground bunker for later consumption.

One of the drawbacks is the Owl’s appetite. Stuffed snowy owls usually eat nothing at all, as they are inanimate objects. Normal snowy owls in the wild eat little rodents like lemmings and stuff. Well, this Owl prefers large game such as orangutans, triceratops, buffalo, and even an occasional rhinoceros. This is only on a light day. As an after dinner snack, the Owl will sometimes consume tree trunks and steel beams or girders. If you don’t have enough of these around, the Owl will move on to ripping through your drywall and your flooring. The Owl may even do this (along with drinking gasoline and rat poison) as a pastime activity. So be careful.

You will need to get used the Owl’s influence. Most people initially will not understand your devotion to the Owl. They will laugh at your mandatory pilgrimages to local zoos to see the Owl’s distant cousins, thinking you are nuts. But in reality, you know that you must pay homage to the Owl, at all times. If you do this, your Owl ownership (rather, the Owl’s ownership of you) will be a rewarding, magnificent and life changing experience for all involved. But screw around, and the Owl will exact vengeance and revenge.

In closing, the Owl owns everything, and there’s NOTHING that you can do about it. So you might as well just buy the Owl now and get on with it.

The Owl has several things in the works next. As soon as the Owl masters cold fusion, he will move on to terraforming Mars. This normally could take decades, even centuries for the world’s greatest minds. But the Owl has no issues waking up in the morning, and then having things like this finished before lunch time. After hard work like that, lunch would generally consist of a few gorillas, your cat, and probably your garage. If there happen to be power tools in that garage: all the better. The Owl can digest your chainsaw, and gold coins come out the other end. He then tends to put an entire cactus full of porcupines in his beak while choking horses with his 5 foot wingspan just for fun, and then he calls YOU a sick son of a gun. By that time the Owl may need a nap. He will perch on your face for his nap, and if you move, or wake the Owl up: WATCH OUT. The Owl has secret weapons that I’ve STILL yet to mention.

There’s too much about the greatness of the Owl that can’t fit in a mere amazon.com review. This is why you need to buy this Owl right now and then hold on for the ride of your life. In a monstrously hard core manner, the Owl destroys and dominates.

This owl is beautiful
I got this owl for my 3-year-old boy, who is in love with everything Harry Potter. He is VERY happy with it! It is very soft and well-made. I would recommend this purchase to anyone looking for Hedwig, or anyone who wants a beautiful owl. Very nice!

xmas gift
Bought this for my 1 yr old granddaughter as one of her xmas presents. Our local library has this owl in the kid's section and every time she is there she walks around carrying it. It isn't xmas yet, but I know she's going to love it.

Gorgeous owl plushie
This snowy owl is so cuddly and gorgeous. It's the most life like I've seen. My little boy has had his for years, they wash well and don't fall apart. And of course he's called it Hedgie, after Hedwig. This is a bargain for the quality!

Good toy, but beware of tread

terence the tractor
My son was very happy to find him on his Thomas birthday cake after a year long wait. He washed nicely from the frosting. We haven't had him long now, but the caterpillars have only slipped off once, which from other reviews I know was a problem with older versions, but they easily slipped back on. So far so good.

Not as good as the trains
My son loves all the Thomas toys, but I have to agree with other reviewers that this one was a bit of a letdown. The rubber treads make it almost impossible to play with, so we cut them off almost immediately. Now my son can enjoy it, but having to remove the treads kind of defeats the purpose of buying a tractor.

SLOW SHIPPING
This item looks ok, but the website was COMPLETELY misleading in saying that it ships within 24 hours. I ordered this on Nov. 27th and did not receive it til Dec. 8th. That's nearly 2 weeks. It may not be worth ordering online even with the free shipping, better to fight the crowds at the stores.

Learning curve customer service is pretty rude
We got this last night and like everyone else has said, the treads come off almost instantly. I was excited that a previous review said these items have a lifetime guarantee and that if you called Learning Curve's 800 number they would replace it. So, I called them up and the girl who answered was very rude and told me that they couldn't do anything unless it's a manufacturing defect. She said I should take it back to the store I bought it from and get a new one. I told her I bought it from Costco and that they would only have the same kind (the previous reviewer had said they came out with a newer version of Terrence that solved the tread problem). I told her about the newer version and she said in her abrubt and rude manner that as a one time courtesy they could replace it. I looked on their web site and they say they only have a 90 day warranty for manufacturing defects (not normal use etc). Maybe they changed their policy, but I would think twice before purchasing this particular train.

Bought for my 3-yo son
My little boy completely enjoyed playing with this Thomas flashlight. Seems pretty durable too. My son left it on overnight, and it's still working properly. I agree with another review, it has some vintage feel to it. But overall, great buy for the price.

cool, overpriced flashlight
Neat toy. A thomas flashlight that also has a whistle could make a toddlers day. the construction isn't great, but this is a fun toy

bye-bye bulb
Bulb fizzled out within a week. Since my son loves this flashlight, I will get him a new one. Perhaps the second one will last longer. FYI- flashlight requires 2 C batteries.

Got too hot to handle, battery fried inside, broken within first 3 days!
We got this for my son for Christmas. He loves Thomas and always "sneaks" the flashlights from the cabinet where we keep them to play with. He was thrilled with his own flashlight and was amazingly good at turning it off. (Fortunately for us he did not find the whistle mentioned in other reviews!! :) After 1-2 days he kept saying it was "hot" -- the barrel/handle part is metal. We had him turn it off, changed the batteries. Within the next day, it was hot even when off. It shorted out, and no longer worked. We threw it away because of safety concerns. Cool toy, not so "cool" outcome!

My 2 year old has a lot of fun with this. He likes to help me “make” the spaghetti but helping me push down on the lever that makes the playdoh come out like linguini or spaghetti. On the bottom of the spaghetti making thingy (not sure what to call it) and on the bowls there are impressions for putting the playdoh in and making shapes like meatballs, ravioli, or mushrooms but this is really detail type stuff which is not on my 2 year old’s agenda (prob great for older kids). Fun and recognizable molds
The kids liked this a lot because they could make fun shapes that they easily recognized as pasta and meatballs. Having the bowl for it to form into directly was a big plus. Wiggly spaghetti shapes made great worms, etc. too. I really liked this because even the littler ones could make the spaghetti. Only cons (and a minor one) were that it took me awhile to figure out how to set it up and had to be broken down and cleanup of the "machine" was a pain.

Good times
My 2 year old has a lot of fun with this. He likes to help me "make" the spaghetti but helping me push down on the lever that makes the playdoh come out like linguini or spaghetti. On the bottom of the spaghetti making thingy (not sure what to call it) and on the bowls there are impressions for putting the playdoh in and making shapes like meatballs, ravioli, or mushrooms but this is really detail type stuff which is not on my 2 year old's agenda (prob great for older kids). However we have a great time sitting and playing with all the things in the kit and it holds his attention for quite some time. Great price and value.

Half the product for full price!
I purchased this for a Christmas present for my 5 year old son. He was so excited when he opened it on Christmas morning and couldn't wait to play with it. Upon opening the package and assembling it the excitement turned rapidly into frustration and anger that Santa would deliver a present that had two containers of play-doh opened to the extent that they were better suited for breaking a window than making spaghetti. If that wasn't enough, it was missing a part so that the "doh" that was still good couldn't be run through it anyway! This is a perfect gift to crush the innocent spirit of that certain little someone.

Spaghetti Factory is fun for all ages - lots of pasta shapes!
I love play-doh, and so does my 3-year-old. And who doesn't love extruding?? So when I saw the spaghetti factory, I knew we were in for a good time.

Well, it took me a while to figure out how to assemble the "pasta" maker. I did not notice the diagrams on the box's end flaps. If you haven't figured it out already, the little red tube goes in with the flat side UP, and the hole down. For a day I did it upside down and could not figure out why it wasn't working!

But once we got it going, it worked great. I love all the little mold shapes - the kids made ravioli, tortellini, broccoli, chicken drumsticks, meatballs etc. Very cute. Probably not great if your kid still eats play-doh though!

Family Fun
Bought this for all 3 kids to play with. Requires a lot of supervision so the colors don't get mixed and the molds are a little difficult. My children are 6,4, and 2 but they absolutely love it. As long as you are willing to get dirty with them, then this is a great toy to get.

Don't buy this lightsaber!
We were so excited to get this lightsaber for our son to go along with his Yoda costume for Halloween. We already had one at home that belonged to our oldest son and we loved it! This one came with a busted piece at the top of the hand grip and the battery compartment area was defective because you couldn't screw it in for the lightsaber to work. It was constructed very poorly compared to the other one that we own that was cheaper! You couldn't even see it light up. I was very disappointed with this product and will not be purchasing the same one again!

Refusal to Replace in Time for Christmas
I ordered the Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi Lightsaber and they sent me one w/such a bad paint job that you could see where the manufacturer tried to paint over a big chip.

Now the company won't send me a replacement until after Christmas even though they have more in stock per the availability listed on Amazon. This was suppose to be a Christmas gift.

Great Lightsaber for Mr. Fix-it
This LightSaber lasted less than 10 seconds, before i had to fix it. the button for the light couldnt be repaired unless you are an engineer...oh did i mention engineer... the toy company could have spent a couple more bucks to hire one when designing this thing. My son is paranoid of droping it, fighting with it, letting anyone touch it because it is so fragile. On halloween i ended up having to crazy glue it shut with batteries inside it so that he could have it light up. I am stocking up on crazy glue, soddering wire, duct tape and batteries. May the force be with you if you buy this one!

Badly made
The handle is huge and the toy itself very cheaply made. The paint scratched off only a few minutes after the saber broke completely in half, and the batteries compartment was impossible to open. My child was hugely disappointed that she could not play with her friends for more than 10 minutes, as her lightsaber could not be reassembled (the blue sections disconnected and the handle itself came apart as well). This product is passable for show, but never as a toy.

LEGO Duplo Legoville Fire Truck (4977) Review

Well-enjoyed by our just 4 year old grandson. He is a quick learner, so put this together with no assistance. Each time we speak on the phone he tells me how much he loves it. His 2 year old sister also likes playing with it, albeit for different reasons. I thought that the next one up ( for 5 + years) would not be as much fun for him because the reviews claimed that the younger children needed help with it, so purchased this one even though I thought he might outgrow it in a few months. I think that when he is old enough for the 5 yr. model, that he will be happy to include the duplo truck in his army of fire trucks. A great toy!!

Duplo fire truck
A great way for young children to build with Duplo and create a toy they can play with. Does not have to be put together precisely to work, so is not frustrating like some toys. I hope Duplo creates more simple kits for younger children so they can experience success--a mix of letting a child be creative while learning to follow directions.

Hours of Fun
I gave this to my 3 1/2 year old grandson for Christmas. He immediately began playing with it and was still playing with it an hour later. He found all different kinds of ways to play with it. I would highly recommend this toy.

This has been invaluable for my 2nd grader from the day he started kindergarten! It's a must have for all kids to learn counting by 5's 10's and even little old 1's. This one happened to be very sturdy as well.
